Arrows

The Indians sobstituted metal for buffalo bone in arrow heads as it became available from traiders. They were often filed from barrel hoops, as is the case with these arrows. Their iron wood shafts are short for a small powerfull bow that was fired from hip level at close range from galloping horses.

Warrior to use (both hands and arms together at once) for the best use of these weapon. When the indians hand these bows and the white man had sigle shot rifles. Bows were shaped from tree trunks collected in winter (after the sap went down) so that they would not split easily. Our bows are made from oak.
